
The city’s HR Workforce Development Unit requested a centralized resource that supports the city’s efforts in outreach and recruitment, retention, and employee development programs.
This toolkit was created to meet the needs of HR leaders and business partners across the City’s highly-matrixed landscape. It raises awareness and access to existing city-wide programs, how to engage with employee programs, and how to create department-specific programs following HR and Legal policy. Research was pulled from informational interviews with subject matter experts, analyzing existing program strategies, and cross-referencing the Seattle Municipal Code.
